1. What is The Company Vault, and who is it for?

The Company Vault (TCV) is a secure, cloud-based platform from FinCEN Report Company that centralizes entity management for businesses, law firms, and accountants. It keeps ownership data, documents, compliance records, and AI-powered insights in one place.

2. How do I get started or schedule a demo?

To request a personalized demo of The Company Vault, simply fill out our Contact Us form HERE. A member of our team will contact you to schedule your session and guide you through the platform’s features.

3. What onboarding or training resources are available?

You’ll find everything in the Company Vault Resource Hub—including FAQs, written guides, and short training videos. Our Customer Success team is also available for live onboarding support.

4. Can I use The Company Vault to manage multiple businesses or clients?

Yes. You can create multiple vaults—one for each client, entity, or project. Each vault has its own members, permissions, and document storage.

Platform Features

5. What types of documents can I upload?

Upload any business document, including formation records, operating agreements, ownership charts, annual reports, or tax confirmations. Supported file types include PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and image files.

6. How do AI Insights and AI Author features work?

AI Insights lets you ask questions like “Which entities renew next month?” or “Who owns each LLC?”

AI Author creates summaries, compliance notes, or documents using your stored entity data—saving time and improving accuracy.

7. Can I invite my attorney, accountant, or team members to collaborate?

Absolutely. Invite collaborators directly from your dashboard and assign roles such as Owner, Editor, or Viewer to control access and permissions.

8. Can I customize vault names and categories?

Yes. Rename vaults, add descriptions, and organize by client, entity type, or workflow to keep your dashboard intuitive and personalized.

9. Does The Company Vault integrate with other tools?

Integration features are expanding. You can already import/export data and securely share documents. Future updates will include API access and connections to compliance and document-management systems.

10. What are the different tiers and pricing options?

The Company Vault offers three plans:

Free Tier – $0.00/month
3 vaults, 5 documents per vault, 20 MB per user, 5 AI Insight questions, 3 AI Author docs, 3 members

Starter Tier – $4.99/month
50 vaults, 50 documents per vault, 1 GB per user, 50 AI Insight questions, 50 AI Author docs, 25 members

Pro Tier – $19.99/month
100 vaults, 100 documents per vault, 10 GB per user, unlimited AI usage, 100 members

All tiers include secure storage, AI tools, and collaboration features. You can upgrade or downgrade anytime.

11. What happens if I exceed my storage or document limits?

You’ll receive a notice with upgrade options. You can upgrade instantly from your account dashboard—no data loss or interruption.

12. How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Account Settings › Billing to cancel at any time. Your data remains available until the billing period ends, and you can export it before cancellation. 

Security & Data Protection

13. How is my data secured?

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. The Company Vault uses enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, role-based access control, and detailed audit logs for transparency and protection.

14. How is data backed up?

Automated daily backups ensure data continuity and recovery. In the event of accidental deletion, recent backups allow quick restoration. 

15. What happens to my data if I leave the platform?

Your data belongs to you. You can export vault contents and documents before account closure. Upon request, our team will permanently delete your data from the system.

16. Can I control who sees which entities?

Yes. Each vault has its own member list, allowing you to restrict access to sensitive data and maintain client confidentiality.

17. Can I share vaults externally? 

You can invite outside collaborators, such as attorneys or accountants. They’ll receive secure access limited to the vault you share—no need to expose your entire account.

19. Do you offer team training or onboarding sessions?
